At Frankie Family Services, we understand how important family relationships are to children and their parents, carers and wider family members.
Our supervised and supported family time service provides a safe, welcoming and child-centred environment where children can spend meaningful time with their parents or family members. This can either be within the centre, community or following risk assessment a family home.
We recognise that family time can sometimes be challenging, particularly when there has been separation, family conflict, safeguarding concerns or involvement from children’s social care.
Our experienced team provides professional support throughout the contact process, ensuring that the child’s welfare, emotional wellbeing and individual needs remain at the centre.
Supervised family time is provided where a higher level of oversight is required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child.
A suitably experienced professional remains present throughout the session and observes the interaction between the child and family member.
The purpose is to provide a safe environment while allowing children and families to maintain and develop their relationships.
Our staff are attentive to the child’s presentation, emotional responses and interactions while remaining professional, respectful and non-judgemental.
We understand that every family is different and tailor our approach to the individual circumstances of each child.
Supported family time offers families greater independence while still providing professional support when needed.
A member of our team is available to provide guidance, encouragement and reassurance, while allowing parents and children to enjoy their time together naturally.
This can be particularly helpful for families who are rebuilding relationships or developing confidence following a period of separation.
Our aim is to encourage positive interactions and help parents develop confidence in meeting their child’s emotional and practical needs.
At Frankie Family Services, the child is at the heart of everything we do.
We create a warm and welcoming environment where children can feel comfortable, listened to and supported.
We recognise the importance of children maintaining safe and meaningful relationships with their parents and family members wherever this is appropriate.
Our team understands that children may experience a range of emotions before, during and after family time.
We therefore approach each session with sensitivity and an understanding of the individual child.
We also recognise the importance of supporting parents and family members without judgement.
Our role is to provide a professional environment that encourages positive family interactions while maintaining appropriate boundaries and safeguarding responsibilities.
Our service is underpinned by extensive experience within children’s social care and family services.
Our professionals have a wealth of experience working with children, parents, carers and families experiencing a range of complex circumstances.
We understand the importance of accurate observation, professional boundaries, safeguarding and appropriate information sharing.
Where required, we can provide clear and professional records of family time in line with the agreed arrangements and requirements of the referring organisation.
At Frankie Family Services, we aim to make every family time session as positive, safe and meaningful as possible.
We provide a calm and supportive environment where relationships can be maintained and, where appropriate, strengthened over time.
Our approach is respectful, professional and focused on the individual needs of each child and family.
Frankie Family Services — supporting safe family connections and helping children maintain meaningful relationships with the people who matter to them.At Frankie Family Services, we offer professional coaching and personal development support to help parents, carers and individuals build confidence, develop resilience and make positive changes in their lives.
We understand that family life can bring periods of change, uncertainty and challenge. Separation, relationship difficulties, parenting pressures or changes in personal circumstances can sometimes affect confidence, motivation and a person’s ability to move forward.
Our coaching provides a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space where individuals can reflect on their circumstances, recognise their strengths and work towards achievable goals.
Our coaching can be provided through one-to-one sessions, group sessions and practical workshops, depending on the needs of the individual or family.
At Frankie Family Services, we recognise that everyone has different experiences, strengths and challenges.
Our approach is therefore tailored to the individual. We work alongside parents and carers to identify what matters to them, explore the barriers they may be facing and develop practical steps towards positive and sustainable change.
Our experienced professionals provide encouragement, constructive support and appropriate challenge, helping individuals build the confidence to make informed choices and take greater control of their future.
Our coaching service complements our wider family support and parenting services.
By supporting parents and carers to develop their own confidence, resilience and independence, we can also help them strengthen their ability to meet the needs of their children and build healthier family relationships.
We aim to help individuals recognise what they can achieve, celebrate progress and develop practical strategies that can be used beyond the coaching sessions.
Coaching is focused on personal development, goal setting, confidence and moving forward. It is not therapy or counselling and does not replace specialist mental health or therapeutic services.
Where appropriate, we can encourage individuals to access additional specialist support alongside coaching.
Our aim is to help every individual recognise their strengths, develop confidence and take meaningful steps towards a more stable, independent and fulfilling future.

Frankie Family Services was founded in loving memory of Frankie — a passionate advocate for children in care, education, and family support. Having experienced the care system himself, Frankie dedicated his life to making a difference and driving meaningful change. He was completing his PhD when he sadly lost his battle for life. His compassion, courage, and commitment live on through everything we do. This service is his legacy.
In memory of Sarah — a cherished colleague whose sudden passing left a deep void, but whose love for the children we support and dedication to her work continue to inspire and shape all that we do.

← Back to HomeFamily Group Conferencing brings families and their wider support networks together to make important decisions about a child or young person’s wellbeing, safety and future.
At Frankie Family Services, we believe families often have the knowledge, strengths and resources to create meaningful solutions when they are given the right support and opportunity.
Our Family Group Conferences provide a safe, respectful and inclusive space where everyone can be heard and valued.
The process is child-centred and focuses on what matters most to the child or young person, while recognising the important role of parents, relatives and other people within their support network.
An independent coordinator helps families prepare for the conference, ensuring that everyone understands the process and has an opportunity to contribute.
During the conference, family members and their support network come together to share information, identify strengths and consider the challenges they may be facing.
The family is then supported to develop their own plan, setting out clear and achievable steps that promote positive outcomes.
Our role is not to make decisions for families, but to create the conditions in which families can come together and make informed decisions for themselves.
We recognise that every family is different, and our approach is flexible, culturally sensitive and tailored to individual circumstances.
Family Group Conferencing can help strengthen relationships, encourage shared responsibility and build confidence within families.
Most importantly, it creates an opportunity for children and young people to be surrounded by the people who care about them and are committed to their future.
At Frankie Family Services, we are committed to helping families find their voice, build on their strengths and develop plans that create lasting, positive change.
At Frankie Family Services, we provide safe, reliable and child-centred transport services for children and young people.
We understand that transporting children, particularly children who are looked after, can require a sensitive and professional approach. Our service is designed to provide safe and consistent journeys while ensuring that children feel comfortable, reassured and supported throughout.
We can provide transport for Children Looked After (CLA) to and from family time, helping children attend important contact arrangements with parents, siblings and other family members.
Our experienced staff understand that travelling to family time can sometimes bring a range of emotions for children. We therefore aim to make every journey calm, supportive and age-appropriate.
Where required, our transport service can support the arrangements surrounding supervised or supported family time, working in accordance with the agreed care plan, contact arrangements and instructions provided by the relevant professionals.
We understand the importance of punctuality and consistency when transporting children.
Our team works closely with the relevant professionals, carers and family members to ensure that agreed transport arrangements are clearly understood and followed.
We maintain appropriate professional boundaries and place safeguarding and the child’s welfare at the centre of every journey.
For some children, travelling between placements, school, family time or other settings can be unsettling.
Our staff provide a reassuring and respectful presence, taking into account each child’s individual needs, age, communication style and circumstances.
We aim to make journeys as positive and stress-free as possible while maintaining appropriate safeguarding procedures.
We can work alongside local authorities, social workers, foster carers, residential settings and other professionals to coordinate transport arrangements.
Our service can be arranged for regular family time or individual transport requirements, subject to the child’s needs and agreed arrangements.
At Frankie Family Services, we recognise that transport is more than simply getting a child from one place to another. It is about providing a safe, reliable and supportive experience that helps children maintain important relationships and attend the services and arrangements that matter to them.
Frankie Family Services — safe journeys, professional support and children at the heart of everything we do.Our parenting support provides parents and carers with practical guidance, encouragement and strategies to help them understand and respond to their children’s individual needs.
We can support families with areas such as communication, routines, boundaries, behaviour, emotional regulation, positive parenting and developing healthy relationships.
Our approach is strengths-based and non-judgemental. We work alongside parents to recognise their existing strengths while identifying areas where additional support may be beneficial.
Frankie Family Services can undertake parenting assessments where an assessment of parenting capacity, strengths, needs and areas for development is required.
Our assessments are undertaken by appropriately experienced professionals and consider the individual circumstances of the parent, child and family.
We take a holistic approach, considering factors such as the parent-child relationship, understanding of the child’s needs, emotional availability, ability to provide safe and consistent care, responsiveness and capacity to make positive changes.
Where appropriate, our assessment work can identify recommendations and areas for further support and development.
We can provide Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) training delivered by qualified trainers.
SPIP is designed to help separated parents understand the impact that parental separation and conflict can have on children and to support parents in developing more positive ways of communicating and co-parenting.
Our qualified trainers provide a supportive environment where parents can reflect on their experiences and consider how they can put their children’s needs at the centre of their parenting relationship.
We offer support groups designed to bring parents and families together in a safe and welcoming environment.
Groups can provide an opportunity for parents to share experiences, build confidence, develop new skills and learn from others who may be experiencing similar challenges.
Our groups can be tailored around the needs of the families we support and may include parenting, relationships, separation, communication and other areas relevant to family life.
We understand that families do not always need support within a formal setting.
Our team can provide support within the community, working alongside families in environments where they feel comfortable and where support can have a meaningful impact on everyday family life.
This may include supporting parents to attend appointments, access community resources, engage with education or other services, develop routines and build confidence in managing day-to-day family life.
Our approach is focused on working with families rather than doing things for them.
We believe that parents and carers are more likely to make lasting positive changes when they feel listened to, respected and supported.
Our experienced professionals provide encouragement, practical guidance and constructive challenge where appropriate, while maintaining a clear focus on safeguarding and the wellbeing of children.
Whether a family requires short-term practical support, structured parenting intervention, an assessment or ongoing community-based support, we aim to provide a professional and responsive service tailored to their individual needs.
At Frankie Family Services, we provide a professional, safe and child-centred handover service for families who require support when children are moving between parents, carers or family members.
We understand that handovers can sometimes be difficult, particularly where there is parental conflict, communication difficulties, safeguarding concerns or an existing arrangement that requires parents or carers to have limited direct contact with one another.
Our handover service provides a neutral and supportive environment, helping to ensure that transitions take place calmly and with the child’s needs at the centre.
Our experienced professionals manage the agreed handover arrangements and support children as they transition between family members.
We aim to minimise unnecessary conflict and reduce the emotional pressure that children can experience when adults are unable to communicate effectively.
Children are welcomed by our team and supported throughout the transition, ensuring they feel comfortable, reassured and listened to.
Where appropriate, parents or carers can arrive and leave separately, helping to avoid direct contact and maintain clear professional boundaries.
Our team has extensive experience working within children’s social care and family services.
We understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality, accurate information and professional communication.
Handover arrangements can be tailored to the individual needs of the child and family and can be agreed with parents, carers, social workers, solicitors or other professionals involved in the family.
We work within clear procedures to ensure that agreed arrangements are followed consistently.

Our aim is to help families move forward positively, improve communication and develop arrangements that work for both children and parents.
At Frankie Family Services, we recognise that some children, young people and families may need specialist therapeutic support alongside family-focused services.
We are able to refer individuals and families to experienced psychotherapists and other appropriate therapeutic professionals, helping people access the right support for their circumstances.
Where appropriate, we can also work in partnership with psychotherapists already involved in a family’s care, creating a more coordinated and supportive approach.
We have particular experience in supporting people whose lives have been affected by significant or extreme trauma and difficult life experiences.
Trauma can have a profound and lasting impact on individuals, relationships and family life, and we understand the importance of providing support that is sensitive, respectful and responsive to each person’s individual experience.
Our approach is collaborative. Where psychotherapy is recommended, we can work alongside the therapist and other professionals involved, with appropriate consent and information-sharing, to help ensure that the wider family circumstances and relationships are understood and supported.
We believe that effective support often comes from professionals working together. By combining family-focused support with appropriate therapeutic expertise, we aim to help individuals and families feel understood, supported and able to move forward.
